    The purpose of this one day course is to assist in the development of an effective Health and Safety Committee or Representative. C How to effectively communicate, advise and collaborate with management. D Learn important aspects and expectations of an effective HSC/HSR. $150

  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment

    This 2-day course will focus on the process of recognizing hazards and defining their characteristics. It will also focus on how to analyze and determine risk in order to prioritize what’s most critical. Hazard identification forms the basis for determining risk, controls, need for regular inspections, training needs and where critical or significant incidents have potential to occur. $160

  • Hazardous Energy: Lock Out Tag out (LOTO)

    Energized equipment/process accidents and deaths do happen in the workplace but are preventable. The principles and concepts that will be laid out in this 1 day course are geared toward understanding the different forms of hazardous energy and how to control for them to prevent workplace injuries. $100

  • Chemical Hazard Communication (HAZCOM): WHMIS 2015

    It is your right and those that work with or for you to know of the hazards and controls of the different substances in the workplace. The purpose of this 1 day course is to ensure your organization complies with the requirements of the Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems (WHMIS). WHMIS is a globe wide system through which suppliers, employers and workers each have their own responsibilities and, is in place to protect the health and safety of workers by promoting access to information on hazardous material. $75

  • Blood Borne Pathogens

    Blood-borne diseases can be transferred from source to source.  The risk of transmittal can be reduced by following universal precautions.  The purpose of this 1-day course is to teach the principle centred around universal precautions that minimize exposure to blood-borne pathogens from bodily fluids encountered during one’s workday. It is crucial to control exposures to blood-borne pathogens through proper work practices, employee training and engineering controls. $50

  • Emergency Action and Response Plans. (EAP/ERP)

    This 1-day course will focus on identifying the potential for and responding to emergency incidents, and for preventing and mitigating environmental impacts or health and safety consequences that may be associated with them. $175

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    The purpose of this half day course is to review guideline's centred around the selection, use and care of personal protective equipment (PPE). Whenever a safe work environment cannot be practically created through effective workplace or process design, the appropriate PPE will be used. It’s also important to keep in mind that determining what PPE is to be used for any given work or environment should be preceded by hazard assessment, unless specific PPE has been prescribed by legislation or an applicable standard. $50

  • Event Management: Accident Incident Investigation

    When an event (upset condition, accident, incident ) occurs, an investigation process follows to ensure it doesn’t happen again. A more realistic outlook is that the risk will be reduced, the probability of a repeat low, and the impacts are minimal if the event happens again. How we manage this process, the tools and strategies deployed, and how we communicate the outcomes of the investigation will determine how successful an entity or organization is in effectively managing events.     A ‘confined space’ means a fully or partially enclosed space that has both of the following conditions: A that is not both designed and constructed for continuous human occupancy, and B in which atmospheric hazards may occur because of its construction, location or contents or because of work that is done in it.

    Each state, province or jurisdiction has a nuance in how it defines confined spaces, permit required or otherwise. Our 1-day course will go over definitions, examples of confines paces, general requirements and the process to effectively manage entries into these spaces. $100

    Ergonomics in simple terms is the science of work. Understanding ergonomics provides the knowledge to assess specific work situations and design them according to the user population, thus enhancing interactions and safety. Ergonomics strives to optimize the interaction between the worker and their work. We offer both industrial and office ergonomics as a package, or the training can be tailored to either exclusively. $150
